[bug-mailutils] systemd service files for Mailutils

Hello,

Has anyone written systemd unit files for the various MU daemons?

Is there any interest in having some common units that can be
distributed with MU, either as examples or, optionally, installed as
part of a MU build + install?

I am going to switch to systemd units for Debian buster and I think
avoiding every distribution having their own init scripts and/or
service files benefits everyone.

No, I hadn't had time for that, unfortunately. It should be pretty
straightforward, I'd guess.

Sure, I'd gladly include them to the distro.

On another front, is there any progress with this bug:

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=904366

In my opinion, it is pretty severe.

Best regards,
Sergey

Yeah it should, just want to avoid redoing it if someone already wrote
them, and instead attempt to improve if possible before submitting
here.

Will look into it then.

Oops. Totally fell through the cracks during the summer. It's fixed in
git now and I'm doing a test build.

I had a look at the current situation, and either my googling wasn't
too great or

- Red Hat / Fedora does not package GNU Mailutils
- For the few other distros that do (eg Arch), the packaging is just a
dumb make build & make install, so they install all of the binaries,
servers and stuff in just one big package. And of course, no service
files.

So I guess I'll write my own and will submit.
